Are you safe if you are in Dallas?

DO NOT move for this cr-ppy company. I know dozens of people in Dallas and Atlanta that lost their jobs because the company got rid of the entire department. So, just because you live there, it doesn't mean you're safe.
Nope! Being in Dallas does not equal safe. Someone relocated to Dallas to keep their job. They received a surplus letter shortly after they arrived. Some have been in Dallas for 25 years and are being surplussed. If you are above 45-50? Look for a push out of the business.
- Taking the DART after 7pm is risky.
- Moving to Dallas to follow the work is risky.
I don't know which one would be safer.

While you are not completely safe being in Dallas, you are much safer in Dallas than anywhere else.
Our group (sales) experienced 3 layoffs this year, I suspect that will continue .
The group I am in is located all across the US. We had a layoff a couple months back. You guessed it. The person laid off worked in Dallas. The rest of us non-hub people made it.
No such thing as “safety” - never a guarantee of employment.

Not true at all. Employees in OOR in the west are very safe. As a matter of fact, technicians are still being hired in the west, so I would have to say, we're very safe!
Yes as a matter of fact, employees based in Dallas and Atlanta are much, much safer than other employees.
This question was answered on a town hall. “No one is safe” was the answer.
I really don't think so; there is a concerted effort to eliminate positions through improved efficiencies (automation, AI, "transformation" efforts, etc.) that will eventually affect HC regardless of geography. I'm in Dallas and see these efforts at work. Better to work on your skill set while you have the time.
No one is safe in this current environment. I am in Dallas and our group has had 3 layoffs this year. More to come over the next 2 years. It’s a race to get total headcount below 100k
