Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Bank

Look up your local bank address and read reviews from customers. Most banks rated a 2 of 5 stars. Apparently our customers think very low of the banks. The dress codes if employees is pathetic.

The bank near me is disgusting. They all look like slobs. The manager and bankers look like they just rolled out of bed. Greasy un combed hairs. Tattoos. Wrinkled clothes. Jeans sneakers. Why would I give them any money? Place needs to be shut down. Love it when they get a bad review and someone from Wells replies and wants more info.

Dress codes? Customer online reviews?

Earth to clueless: You're not serious are you? Nobody cares about those things at all!

Keep on topic please. This site is related to LAYOFFS!

Super good call here in my opinion - but how much do you feel is appropriate? I’ve heard of premier bankers making 150k, I would think you should get good quality for that.

Oh yeah, let's go back to the 80s with the oversized football shoulder pad look. That's so much better than jeans, a tee shirt, and hoodie.

OP- I work for WF and bank with Chase. My Chase branch got a 2.2 and the closest WF branch got a 2.5. Why do you assume we are the worst there is?

1950's ? How about the 1980's/1990's when people actually cared about how they looked and dressed ?
What's wrong with Dress for Success ? What's wrong with Dress for Business ? That's what you're in the office to do. When you dress professional you act professional. None of this worrying if you are addressing people with their correct pronouns. WF stating that They/Them is correct for addressing a non-binary person is insane. THAT is unprofessional. There's no place for WOKE in the workplace environment. WF needs to get back to to respecting the work place and you respect your coworkers when you dress professional. You look like you are there to do business. You don't look like you just rolled out of bed Way too many people dress like slobs No wonder nobody respects the office anymore.

Have you seen the people they hire? It’s now a DEI nightmare. I went in once to buy coins as an employee and got a bad attitude because I did not have an account. Working here does not count. It’s just coins. I was told no.

They need more staff in the branches due to our outdated processes that take forever and are way too manual and/or force customers to come in when they would rather not. Then, they need to pay bankers and managers more to attract talent and entice them to stay in role for more than a year, maybe even make a career out of it. That’s the only way we can get folks who can actually provide good advice and guidance to affluent and small biz customers. We need more experienced bankers and managers and the only way to do that is to pay more and create a more professional work environment. But it ain’t happening and our execs seem to think “Fargo” is going to take care of customer experience…

If you're forced to go into a non-customer-facing office and wear "business attire" buy the loudest, ugliest, most ridiculous professional wear you can find. Make it painful to see you in business clothes. If the only people seeing you are coworkers, it shouldn't matter what you wear as long as it isn't offensive or distracting.

First impressions
Like it or not people make a judgment about you based on how you’re dressed.

What dress code ? WF doesn't care about a professional image. They should but they don't.
A professional work environment should require professional dress but that would go against the WOKE policies that WF pushes. Oh the horrors of requiring business attire. That would prevent self expression and prevent you from pajama wear and tattoos all over.
Get back to basics You are there to do a professional job Look the part. Dress the part. I'm sick of anything goes. DEI would consider business attire to be against their movement so get rid of the WOKE nonsense that's destroying companies and get back to professionalism.

I just looked up bank reviews near me (no WF banks in MO). US Bank, Chase, PNC, BoA all with 2-3 stars. BoA was 2.1.

So seems Wells is industry average.
