“Hey 'Can they do that' guy, can you stop? Are you bored?”

Why assume their gender. “Hey ‘Can they do that’ they, can they stop? Is they bored?

Are you talking about those tales that were witnessed by multitudes and written about by many witnesses from different ethnic groups and countries (Greeks, Hebrews, Egyptians, Romans, etc..) with archaeological and scientific proof? Those fantasies and tales? The facts are out there if one has curiosity and willing to research with a non-biased opinion.

Life is short so the real question is, what happens to me after the final layoff?

Get out of here with your fantasies and imaginary tales that were created for nothing more than control.

How many contractors in the latest headcount?

IIRC, at the July 2020 layoff, headcount was ~250K employees & ~265K contractors

Many favorites still being protected…just run a report of L3 and above still outside the 9 core locations and you’ll see who the favored are…

Inconsistent and attracted to favoritism - neither of which is good for the business

How can they continue to have people in the 9 move (some even have to move from Atlanta! Yet they have L3’s in remote locations being left alone to remotely run their teams.
INSANE!!!! But EVP will believe the spin about specialized skill set nonsense

Implement consistency with RTO rules!!!

Thank you for clarifying your position on the layoff of the 150, it shows you do have sensitivity and made your parents proud with the follow-up! You are right, it is a small percentage of the overall stated layoff number 15k but let’s not forget every one is a human being and not a data point. It makes us like leadership in their bubble if we treat layoffs as numbers on a ppt or spreadsheet.

I too understand the large reductions, relocation mandates, asset sell/spin offs and the bad fiscal position that leadership has put the company in, it has everyone on edge. The exception would be leadership and BOD, of course they will come out with their golden contract’s no matter the end result. No consequences, does allow them to say and do anything, Stankey is a prime example, couple of decades back Stankey and Stephenson would have been summarily let go for their disastrous decisions. They doubled down on their failed leadership by blaming the employees execution, it’s a mad, mad world we live in, right is wrong and wrong is right.

I did say that in an insensitive way. Every job lost hurts a family bad and I totally understand that fact. What I meant to say is 150 is only 1% of the stated reduction goal and it concerns me that they’re not done.

Stankey isn't serious about headcount rationalization. He just keeps nickel and diming us.

“As of January 2023, the telecommunications company AT&T had around 160,700 thousand employees, a sharp decrease on the previous year.”

Current Headcount- 147,455

So around 13.2k have left payroll in 2023 already.

Unless you are one of the 150, people are so insensitive! Karma is a b*tch!

Stanley said we’d likely go down 15000 in 2023. 150 ain’t much towards that.
