Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

What a sad place this has become

With every passing week, I get closer to just submitting my resignation and walking away. It has gotten that bad.

We are all really missing Todd eight about now. His gentle leadership in guiding us through the Pandemi, all without layoffs and even giving Severance to those were actually being fired for cause. What a great leader we were fortunate to have through the pandemic.

I left but I'm not gonna lie I'd rather die than ever go back there...I had no idea I hated it that much until I left.

If you ask to be made redundant are you likely to get it or will they keep treating you bad and hope you leave without severance

That’s exactly what I did. Best move that I ever made.

Resignation does not equal a save in all cases

I agree with the others. If you don't want to be here, resign and save someone else from the RIF list. There are plenty of people that would prefer to stay whether out of necessity or otherwise.

@idz+1pjze86i - why you mad bruv? If they looking to cut heads, and you don’t want to be here, by walking now you may be saving someone else’s job who doesn’t mind it here. Everybody wins.

Thanks commenter #2 for helping to prove my point. Here’s hoping the axe hits you on 11/6. Cheers!
