Barriers to Success

Ford's primary barriers to success are their sub-standard poorly engineered defect-riddled vehicles as well as their state of denial and unwillingness to look in the mirror and realize that they are a has-been, third rate, cob-job operation that can't do anything right. It’s pretty sad when the only bragging rights you have is for setting the record for the most recalls of poorly engineered and poorly manufactured vehicles.

All of you miss the point. Read all recalls, all of them have nothing to do with design, DEI, K-K, white power, women, India, Mexico, Blacks, etc. The common Root Causes of all Recalls are due to Supplier quality issues and Ford Manufacturing / A-s'y issues. None of the people commenting on this blog have a remote idea of the real Ford quality issues.
Suppliers are chosen by Purchasing, they have their list and a new one needs to get approval by GCST, which never happens, STA have a voice and they are in cahoots w/current suppliers. PD has no voice to add new suppliers or change bad suppliers. Purchasing is willing to bring down Ford as long as they meet their kickbacks quota. On the other hand, VO A-s'y issues are due to lack of personnel continuity o applying lessons learned, PTME is an archaic division that create more recall issues, but it is a gang of UofM alumni related to BF who are untouchables regardless of how much money they have cost Ford.
Just check NHTSA website and read all Ford recalls, a decent engineer even from Larry Tech can see where the quality issues are. Indeed, JT is clueless as well as BF, Recent crusade to take 40 hrs of useless web training was intended to appease investors more than have an impact on quality issues that are totally outside of Design realm.
If you want to blame India, Mexico, Rusia, Ukraine, China, women, blacks, Latinos, LGTB, White Males, JT. BF, Kumar, etc. it is your call but at least be honest and identify yourselves as angry employees w/o a clue of what is going on at Ford and no interest to fix Q issues

TVM replaced MCR and that's been at F forever, add cost at launch, then cut cost after,
the reason for this poor quality is is JF have no idea how to lead. and a bunch of his sw directors from the westcoast who have no idea how things work at Ford. But they are here to make it a sw company.

Engineers at Ford hire outside engineers to do their job, and I am not kidding about it.

Ford engineers only do the paperwork, Excel Spreadsheets, and PowerPoint Presentation.

Current quality is probably because of all the TVM/cost reduction part changes that came into effect in the past 2 years.

I can tell you first hand about the “poorly engineered claim you are so making. I can’t really argue with that, but do you know why that is????? Well let me tell you. Engineers job at ford is everything but engineering and not by their choice. It’s gotten really really bad over the passed 5 or so years. Every current process, newly created process, procedure, initiative, pipe dream dreamt up by non engineers and all the useless paper work is made the top priority for engineers . Engineers job is almost 100% filled with all sorts of useless paperwork that keeps getting created by the non engineering activities just so they can justify their job positions and make their lives easier. and then you get the individuals that try to make a name for them selves with a new process so they can get promoted, and they do. I’m telling you this first hand. Engineers at ford only get to engineer there parts between useless non value added paperwork assignments. ( not an excuse but the root course of quality)
