Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The Days of buying political protection are over

For ATT. It's a more level playing field and ATT is clearly showing it's sloth and incompetence. In 3 short years Verizon and T-Mobile have acquired 7M fixed wireless subs while ATT in it's petty fashion said it can't compete with fiber. Now ATT does about face but they are too late. The plug and play product is off to the races and Verizon and T-Mobile capitalized on the sloth of ATT, Cable and DSL companies. You also have the return to office mandates which we all know is extremely attractive to the younger workforce so I anticipate the world's under 30 best and brightest will flock to ATT and the culture Stankey and his SVPs have created. ATT is Babylon Bee and Onion Material.

AT&T is growing mobile and fiber subscribers. Verizon and T-Mobile better watch out because we are coming.

Old guys are going to flock to AT&T too when they figure out that there is that internet thing out there.

That’s chump change, they pay Randal more than that every month on top of his yearly $1million consultant fee. $375,000 a month wasn’t enough for him.

Anyone remember that AT&T paid $200,000 direct to President Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen (now a convicted liar) in 2017 for "insights into understanding the new administration?"

What a clown show.

I agree, but I think fixed wireless is a product/solution that people have to settle for when a wired solution isn’t available given the slower speeds which don’t match cable let alone fiber. It is like a temporary solution and isn’t eligible for federal or state subsidies whereas fiber is. I think once fiber is available in areas with fixed wireless there will be large migrations to wired solutions so product longevity is a big concern and many can use cellular for access today if need for a fixed solution isn’t that great. Keep in mind T-M doesn’t have any wired solutions and VZ has significantly scaled back their small cell deployments.
