Some departments are doing pre-notice. Whether it be 2 weeks or longer, while other departments are getting same day 60 non working notice. It's happening and I'm tired of people denying it and making jokes about it. You may think it's not happening because you are sitting in a hub where you don't see it but non hub people are being laidoff every two weeks. Received my pre notice. 2 weeks to be laidoff on nov 14. Meh, everyone I know is hoping for the 'golden ticket', a lot of people looking to retire want the 'glide path' to retirement.
when I got whacked last year, I saw it as a blessing. A lot of jealousy among my peers.
Best thing to happen to me. Sorry, not sorry.
@2opv+1plart4R, are you in India? Let's do Pucking together. I love Pucking.
Puck me! Puck me! Puck me! Yes! Yes! Yes!
Fake News.
What layoffs?

Last I checked this is ‘MURICA, and I will joke about whatever I want to.

Hey there Has Been Professional Now Retired poster, there likely WAS this level of dissatisfaction when you were here. Likely that your team or co-workers were mostly suffering in silence to save their job as long as possible or you were tone deaf.
There is a fair amount of judgement in your posts. For someone who is retired, this doesn’t really affect you - but it does for those of us still at
ole WF. Go enjoy your retirement!
Stop! This is all fake news to cause an unnecessary panic. Just stop!
"You haven't worked here for a year and you are still trolling this site and spreading negativity? Why are you still letting your bad experience with WF get to you?"
Not at all! I enjoyed my 30+ years with WF mostly. In retirement, I have a little more time on my hands, so I check in periodically to get a read on the situation over at ole WF. Not sure if it is helpful, there seems to be a lot of whining here. I was a 'professional', so all the begging for a union to save their jobs seems to be from the 'non-professionals'.
Oh, there was dissatisfaction, but not on the level I am seeing here.
Postings sourced from emotional triggers is usually not a great way to start the day. We all know there are a few loud annoying negative juvenile voices here that make it seem like no one cares. The anonymous nature brings forth protections that are both good and bad.
If it makes you feel better, most of us do care and we actively block out the bad posts from memory. This is not a place for therapy, it's a place to satisfy some curiousity for a few minutes followed by trying to keep our head up while working at WF.
They did, which is pretty ironic considering the degree to which Hudson Yards is stuck in the 20th century.
Risk will be utterly destroyed around this time next year when Ph 2 of RCSA is complete. At that time, it will be fully offshored and BCM will be shown the door.
Then, most will be re-hired at a higher pay grade when the offshoring explodes, as it's doing now with basic data-entry to ShRP.
Risk not affected? Nonsense. I had to lay off 3 of my people on 10/17 and I lead a team in Risk. And in a hub.
Define "mass". I've seen layoffs of 500-1000 people multiple times in the last two years. That "mass" enough for ya?
It's not happening
Risk has been untouched because of the outstanding MRAs

They've removed the stagecoach from branding awhile ago
Can i still downvote every post regardless of the content, or is that not allowed by your rules either?
@1ubh+1plart4R You haven't worked here for a year and you are still trolling this site and spreading negativity? Why are you still letting your bad experience with WF get to you?
From the responses in here, the ones joking about it are likely super miserable. Misery loves company. Sad life.
I'm sorry to hear of your upcoming layoff and wish you the best! Hope you can find another job quickly.
Stagecoach = Titanic
Happening in hubs, too. I lost 2 co-workers in Charlotte on 10/17 and our team is involved in several of the risk and sales practices MRAs. No rhyme or reason to it, both employees were good and younger than me.
What part of finance ?
I don't care, and I'll joke all I want. I'm immune, I got whacked last year and I received my last severance check last Friday.
Nobody is denying it. What's being discussed are the massive layoff events. Those are not happening. They continue to nickel and dime.
I heard tech is affected.
Full-time WFH here. I will crack as many jokes about it as I want to. I've been pre-notified that my job will be forced back into the office within a short time frame. Since I'm over 40 miles from a hub, I expect to be laid off.
You will not find me moping or complaining about other people making jokes. I'm upskilling and preparing for the daunting task of trying to get a new job while being 50+. You're taking it seriously enough for many of us. I suggest you relax and not have a coronary over it. Adapt and survive. It's what our species is good at.
Yeah, it su-ks. At least you're not living in the world's largest open-air prison and being invaded by the warden's army.
It's the truth, and hub people aren't safe either. In the end, we all go. Offshore + contract will cover just about everything eventually.
