Glad I took it. Rolled 401 of Verizon stock at 61 rather then 34 today. The difference more than makes years of lost pay.

I have taken a few days worth of “webinars” recommended by leadership and ones that looked like they might be worth something.

If you never had a job or used a computer for anything but basic email or typing they might be worth it otherwise there is a reason they are free. Pick a random help video on youtube and you’ll learn more.

With the tuition assistance and webinars VZ offers, it's your own fault if you've been here any length of time and haven't gotten any new skills.
I kind of hope you and people like you end up working nights and weekends at Mickey D's. It's survival of the fittest in progress. The weak, lazy and unintelligent fall by the wayside.

I’m sure glad I didn’t take it. I make an outstanding salary but have absolutely zero skills. I didn’t really want to flip burgers for a living.

I regret not taking it. I've gotten paid for 5 years but not really gained anything from it since all my time was working so basically lost 5 years of my life and time I could have started something else.

No regrets. It was the right decision for me staying.

I'd take it in a heartbeat if it were offered again. Wish I had taken it and used it as an opportunity to switch care paths. I do know a few who said yes, but we're not picked.

I didn’t take it because all my coworkers who had been riffed in the past year or two hadn’t landed a job yet just temp work. Those I know who took the VSP were mostly retirement ready so it was good for them. A couple that weren’t retirees still haven’t found as good of a job and are drastically downsizing their life though part of that could be blamed on inflation.

I wish I knew about it before I moved from my cheap small home and closer into work though. I would have 100% taken it then but I had just moved and with everyone else having such terrible luck I guess it worked out that I haven’t.

Everyone I know who took it got better jobs within a month of their last day and landed with an extra 70-100thou in the bank.

We were having a baby and didn't want to take the chance.
