A Rough Start: The 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse's Unfortunate Arrival (From Motorious)

The unveiling of the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse took the automotive world by storm, given its high-power promise. But its journey since its launch has been anything but smooth. From production hitches, escalating prices, to even seating mishaps, the Mustang Dark Horse has had its fair share of teething troubles. Now, a fresh debacle has emerged, making the headlines in the automotive community: a brand-new Carbonized Grey 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse was delivered to a dealership in a rather unfortunate "pre-crashed" state.

A photograph circulating in the Reddit group Justrolledintotheshop showcased the Mustang in a sorry state. Its front bore conspicuous damages, the lower bumper appeared dislocated, and the splitter bore evidence of a rough mishap.

The grapevine is rife with speculation regarding the cause of this accident. A prominent theory suggests that the car might not have been anchored correctly during transit, leading it to clash with another vehicle or perhaps the delivery truck itself. Adding a touch of humor to the situation, some Redditors jestingly commented that the car was designed to be "pre-crashed," humorously hinting at its unfortunate notoriety for accidents at Cars and Coffee gatherings.

The irony of the situation becomes even starker when one considers the model's prestige. The Dark Horse edition is the crème de la crème of the 2024 Mustang line-up, boasting high-performance attributes and a starting price tag close to $60,000. Depending on additional customizations, the price can escalate to a whopping $85k.

For now, the pressing question is: who shoulders the responsibility for the damages? It remains to be seen whether Ford or the dealership will bear the brunt of the repair costs. One can only hope that this Mustang's rocky start doesn't hint at further bumps down the road for the Dark Horse edition.

Mustang has been decent in initial quality rankings, but abysmal in reliability ratings.

And F150 has had a lot of recalls.

Ford quality has been in the cr-pper for the last 4-5 years across the entire fleet.

Mustang is the only vehicle I would trust to buy from Ford. Best quality in the company, most mature design and engineering behind it, and just a great car. And the only car left.

It's not a Ford quality issue.

Ford actually gets the Mustang right, unlike most of its other vehicles (besides the F-150).

It did have the panel gap issue, but for once Farley to his credit made the right decision to delay production to fix that upfront.

Why is this Ford's fault? Or even a Ford quality issue?
