Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

You may have to due without a contractor but you'll have a job!

All the team meetings are sharing the great news about great numbers. Hans and his directs are finally getting things right.

There are always pockets of adjustments every quarter to cull the folks that simply don't show up, often replaced within days with a new hire.

This site runs on visits and clicks, so one rumor is debunked and they have to start another to keep you coming back. I've not heard of a single rif this cycle, not to say there wasn't one but news typically travels fast.

Look at the q3 filing. Vz lost 7k employees since Jan 2023. More coming with the hcl deal. Sure, I didn't hear of a rif in October, but I think 10k+ this year is substantial. There will be more next year. The issue is there will be a net loss in us full time jobs, so less opportunities. Long term employees are what keep companies running, so it's pretty d-mb to target them. Sure, maybe they get lazy, but a lazy employee isn't worse the an incompetent one.

Hey, what's up? I tried typing in the company's web page and it took me immediately to Sanskrit Cellular. What gives?

Gloat all you want. But tomorrow, November 1, 3000 of your fellow VTeamers will be moved to HCL and soon after that will be replaced with Indian counterparts.
