Work here or work somewhere else. It is all the same BS. Very few people find a situation that isn’t the daily grind of going to work to make money to lead a normal life. Life su-ks and then you die. Enjoy the good moments because they don’t last. Try to find some meaning and do some good.

@1vec It’s the same everywhere in O&G. Every company attracts and promotes the same types of people and ends up with the same problems.
Cynical? Probably. But I’m not wrong.
I don’t buy the it’s the same everywhere line. Nobody does the career bait and switch like Exxon. Nothing wrong with a transactional employer-employee relationship. But it’s downright evil to get employees to make decades of sacrifices to get loyalty and ridiculously hard work out of them, only to crush them once they are locked into the pension trap.
