Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Forcing small Solution Providers out

I feel terrible for all the people getting laid off for not moving to Dallas. I worked at AT&T for 26 years, and have been an AT&T Direct Solution Provider in the Alliance Channel for 10 Years. I got notified that many partners are many terminated from the program since revenue goals are going to unrealistic numbers. I assumed the future was not as many Direct Sales Reps, but now it is fewer Indirect Sales Rep being forced out and being forced out of accounts.

SPs do nothing. All the SPa I’ve dealt with do is get credit for orders I could have easily placed, since I negotiated the contract in the first place.

SPs are a complete waste of money for the company. Not to mention some of the largest ones are shady as he-l.

SPs offer a HUGE value to the org. With all of the AT&T employee shuffling it is the SP’s that have the customer relationships.

I’m glad this happened , we don’t need help - SPs offer absolutely no value to the org.
