Thread regarding Ford layoffs

GM salaried 3.5 %, wow!

Isn’t that just the normal annual raise? They said it was happening next spring. Seems like that is just normal for GM. Ford usually gets lower pay and raises than GM , ours is usually 2.7%. lol.

I work in a different industry but we all got 2%. Well, we’ve gotten 2% for years unless you have a total rockstar year.

Yeah, that article was trying paint a picture that “thanks to UAW, salaried employees will get a raise too”. A bunch of BS one sided article. It goes to show you how media can manipulate uneducated readers.

GM salaried employee here - yes that is about the norm. The bosses do evaluations typically in the January timeframe. The employee finds out their review and bonus/comp after corporate earnings announcements. Then the new salary kicks in for March pay periods and going forward.
