240G - badge swipe Lobby or Floor?

Does anyone know if a badge swipe in the Lobby of 240G is enough for office day credit as I someone held door for me on floor recently and I forgot to go back and swipe myself. Thank you!

I think it is only the main lobby swipe that matters as i see people working off the 16th floor since some floors overflow with people during TWTh.
Also the floor swipes dont matter much as you swipe them everytime you got to the 16th for lunch or coffee.

Why don’t they just install time clocks like we work at McDonald’s? If people aren’t performing, PIP them - don’t treat us all like children.

@eam

Well I’ll be darned. Robin and his team have picked the perfect solution. Fair to all and easy to track. Credit given to Robin for a great solution. Anybody that can’t live with this arrangement should immediately be given one warning only and a second should result in displacement without SUB, as the employee has willfully resigned.

I’m now impressed with Robin for the very first time ever.

Way to go Robin!

You do realize that departments are allowing their staff, work permitting, to work the 2nd half of their day from home if they wish. No one is trying to steal hours. Whether you are in a cubicle or a home office you are still working. Employees just want to know if this perk that has been granted by immediate management has gone away by some suit with a higher pay grade.

@jrn

Pretty sure that the last thing that @jrn wants is to review CCTV footage with the guards. Although it may feel to a slacker that the walls are closing in, people have been commuting to work with coworkers since the industrial Revolution.

I’d only suggest an enhancement to dock pay. If a worker swipes and leaves for 4 hours dock a half day’s pay. Employees cannot be allowed to steal from the company.

As one who has always gone the extra mile, I welcome this new system. I don’t slack and never will because I’m driven and proud of my work. I don’t criticize coworkers but it grates on me that they slack and mail it in… effectively surfing on my work.

So count me as in favor of needing to log into the network from our actual work location. It’s high time to get back to normal work. Beyond our commitment to our employer, a vibrant city depends upon a tax base and simply walking the streets at lunch in NYC or Pittsburgh demonstrates the squalor and crime and nobody wants to live, work or visit that mess.

My floor doesn't have badge swipe only the lobby. Try and swipe in a few times during the day in case missed due to a network clich in the program ..very common with bny networks

If you guys would just apply the same creativity that you’ve demonstrated in gaming the system to doing your jobs we would all still be working from home with great work/life balance. You sure can’t blame Robin after Todd allowed slackers to reign. He simply had to clean house. Our owners want their Bank back.

Not no more, was just told today badge swipes will not count, must log into the network from work location.

Are you sure this is the whole story? If that is the case, you can call up the security desk to save the CCTV footage showing your walked in with someone holding the door. This is your evidence for the HR.
