Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

You Support BTC / KLTC Jobs…

Ever stop to think that many BTC / KLTC employees were educated in the USA and Western Schools. Institutions that are supported with your tax dollars. Greedy universities are happy to take the money from full tuition payments often support by their home county.

So you’re getting hit from both ends. Your tax dollars are being used to displace yours and your children’s future jobs and foreign governments are paying to take those jobs back to their county.

This is economic warfare and you are the causality.

We have this d-mb about 50s guy in EMTE who will rather accumulate travel miles by going to BTC than actually doing any work. All he does is attend meetings and snooping around next potential international travel.
He will sacrifice your job to BTC for his extra business class travel and frequent flyer miles.

@1rze That’s on you for trusting them to begin with.

I don’t know what made you trust a corporation and I don’t care. I just know it’s not my problem.

Rule of thumb: whenever a well-groomed man wearing a suit tells you something, assume that it’s BS. Make it a point not to do what he says.

@3dsb Did that a long time ago bruh 😎

Seems like you can’t handle the truth. That’s a “you” problem, not a “me” problem.

Nobody stole “your” jobs. The rich sociopaths you worship and aspire to be like gave them away.

@2ans You’re sick of having facts explained to you?

Here it is for you again:

Nobody is stealing your jobs

They aren’t even your jobs to steal. They belong to the company, and the white, republican executives who make all of the consequential business decisions have decided to send those jobs elsewhere.

If you don’t like it, here’s the door:

=====> [- ]

Feel free to show yourself out.

What about going to the stores and finding most of the shelves filled with cheap goods from abroad that k*ld so many manufacturing jobs here in the US? When is that shopping for cheap goods going to stop?

@OP It’s the (white republican) private sector executives who are sending the jobs overseas. I’m not sure that I’m following you here.

We need to take a blowtorch to this idea that foreigners are “stealing” these jobs. They’re being given away by your greedy, sociopathic bosses. The government does not have a magic button they can push to stop them - you boomers have locked-in this rotten system with your reactionary voting patterns.

Hey works in India guy: this is about Americans who worked hard and trusted a company that has now betrayed them. It’s about sacrifices and broken promises. It’s NOT ABOUT YOU. I sincerely hope this never happens to you and your family. How about a little compassion for the victims of Exxon’s scheme.

I work in India. Almost none went to US-schools. Otherwise they would make US salaries.

You’re an id--t.

The really sick part of this outsourcing movement is management hanging the “high cost” label on the employees. For generations we trained high performing, highly experienced employees in the US that were worth every dollar of their “high cost”. Now we outsource all our good entry level operating and technical jobs to overseas technology centers while younger US employees are put on endless, meaningless study teams where they learn little that would move them up the experience and productivity ladder. Then we lament that the US workforce is not productive enough to justify its high cost?! What do you have to say for yourselves DW, DT, TG, and KM? You were responsible for US workforce development but you neglected your job and doomed your US workforce to declining productivity and eventual replacement. Now it is oh so easy for you denigrate us with the “high cost” label which we all know is code for stupid, lazy Americans who lack the meaningful experience and skills to be sufficiently productive.
