Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Stop being lazy and ignorant to the MANY COMPLAINTS from associates! Fix it or lawyer up.. we’re all effing sick of it - LITERALLY! Sweep it under the rug and ignore the feedback all you want but it’s not going away and several people are prepared to report.

OSHA requires that a workspace environment be specifically organized to reduce glare and excessive lighting, which can result in eye strain and headaches. Desks should be positioned in such a way that ensures ceiling lights are parallel to workers lines of sight.

I can’t agree more! Facilities claims they’re following OSHA.. uh.. how is that possible one for the past 15 years that I’ve worked in this building, the lights were never this ridiculous- so are they saying they were adhering to OSHA all that time?! if so, it sounds like they should be responsible for eyestrain issues that I have now. They can tell us to get anti-glare cr-p but we all know none of that solves the problem because it’s not our screen it’s the lights in our peripheral vision!! my head is pounding just thinking about going into the office with those lights.

Everyone impacted by the bright lights needs to go to their doctor, get an accommodation request and a lot of the bulbs will have to be switched out.

Lucky that building 600 only has a lighting problem. At least you are not in building 300! Our two passenger elevators have been broken for 2 months. We have a small service elevator only. No one seems to think it is a big deal for a 5 storing building! Ha! They will be sued once the service elevator gets stuck because it has 20 people crammed in it!

YES!! PARALLEL to workers lines of sight! The new open seating space is painful!

OMG I thought I was the only one leaving with a pounding headache and feeling physically exhausted every time I go into the office. The lights were NEVER this uncomfortable before the remodel- it’s torture!

I know OSHA also has to have rules on lighting that is TOO BRIGHT! Good Lawd.. they’re trying to light all of Southside Blvd with these damn lights!
