Thread regarding Ford layoffs

I don’t respect my LL6; can I move out?

Frankly I detest any interaction with them. All I hear is BS lies about having a “team” and “culture” when in fact everyone operates in their silo and there is no road map or plan for anything.

Can I move to another LL6 or team? My LL5 is great , I just hate my LL6.

Dude, when I was there, it was always more important to know the right people than to actually know the subject you were supposed to be working on.

If you don't like your LL6, I think you should start to make in-roads to another LL6 or another organization altogether if possible.

Keep in mind that when you apply for other roles using the internal system, your LL6 is immediately notified. So it will be in your best interest to cross that bridge with them directly before applying to anything. Spin it as a grown opportunity or something...

Good luck

Lying is their business and business is good. Any LL can easily fool a polygraph test because they have violated their conscious so much, they don't discriminate between the truth and falsehoods, so there is little to no Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) for the polygraph to detect.

No. Your LL6 will get ticked off and put you on the next list for layoffs. Don’t believe that LL5 is great. LL5 and LL6 are on same page and LL6 is bad mouthing you to LL5. I recommend leaving the company.

LL5= good cop. LL6=bad cop. LL5 has plausible deniability. A well-known, but simple-minded, game they play.

You will also hear a lot about how important it is to follow the processes that Ford has developed. You will have to do quarterly performance reviews. And then after a couple of years of thinking everything is fine, no major complains from management (they always have to have some criticism or they don’t feel very “managerial”), they’ll throw that whole system out the window and can your keister on a whim.
