Houston Move - Not only PA "Folks"

As JB likes to use, not all "Folks" affected by the relo mandate are in SP. Some of us are in various other locations. Put a kibosh on all this move business! Bleeding out money to relocate "folks" to Houston is just foolish and a monetary loss. This company isn't failing because some of us aren't in Houston. Look at our individual performance numbers. Some of us have out performed others who were IN AN OFFICE. The idea behind moving everyone to Houston is that it will be more efficient and can deliver to our customers more quickly. Go ahead and lose your knowledge base and hire a bunch of college kids. See how that works out. Also consider... you are relocating people to a 45 minute to 1 hour commute each way. You demand they be in office 9-4p or whatever. When you factor in their commute...their office hours are more limited. Do you think they will bring home that laptop and give MORE hours from home?? NO. Nope. Not gonna happen. You will get less.

If you don't know what a township is try Google instead of telegraphing laziness.

Lots of companies want their employees back in the office because they get a tax benefit from the township. More people come into the office, then the town thrives with business (for example: shopping centers, restaurants, hotels, etc.). Many business need to show the town how many people come into the office to get the tax benefit. Also, the company doesn't want to pay for property/leasing if the offices are not going to be filled. And relocation is to get all the old timers to retire or leave on their own so the company doesn't have to pay severance. And they want younger people to work for them since younger people bring fresh modern ideas to the company cause they know the old timers will just do the daily work to collect the paycheck and just waiting for retirement. Even my company in North East USA is doing the same thing. It's just the way it is. You either go with the flow or leave on your own.
