Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Does this happen at other companies?

My boss continues to tell us that management watches our card swipes but my boss continues to come in only about half the time while the team comes in nearly all of the time. What gives?

All of your swipes are in a database… they can be queried on demand via splunk.

Thanks for the advice. It doesn't matter if I hate RTO or not, though I do with a burning passion, it matters that admin buildings a completely unnecessary cost/risk. We spend massive amounts of money on them for no demonstrable gain, especially when you take into account the billions we've been fined due to the direct result of "in person collaboration" (aka a safe space for directing people to do illegal or unethical things). It's an outdated business model that is ripe to be crushed by my efficient competitors. RTO was a political decision and an attempt to drive attrition. That's all it is. Tormenting your people until they quit. But not enough did, tens of thousands said "eat a D, Shart" and trudged to a building 3 times a week for absolutely no reason. Pi---d off, they kept their heads down, put on their headsets and mostly did their job and went home. At this point it's for spite and severance. If that ivory tower POS in NYC wants me out, he can get out his Fing checkbook and pay me. He's a temporary CEO and won't be around much longer. I stopped listening to anyone within 3 levels of the CEO long ago. They are nothing but liars and incompetents, and they'll move on to another bank soon enough.

We used to have a lot of this at JPM, but over the last few years the number of occurrences keeps dropping. Not sure where these people are going, but it’s been great!

Hardly anything that "happens" here happens at other companies.

Maybe some of the other banks, but I know many in other industries and even if they rto’ed their companies are not tracking them down in this kinda manner. Makes me wonder if people that hate rto should consider another industry for their next job.

Do a skip level and ask your bosses boss. What do you have to lose?

And yes, a lot of big companies are tracking the same data.

They watch your badge swipes and your IP Pulse data.

While it is possible to badge in to a different location, there are some people who seem to have found workarounds. The rules that apply to them don’t apply to us.

My boss always wants to play "good touch, bad touch" with me.

The last time I gave in, it was pretty much all bad touch.

They might be badging in at a different location, and/or not staying in the office long enough for you to see them.

Also, FRTO. Always and forever.
