I think we are equal opportunity abusers and strongly believe in screwing everyone, unless you are part of the top 1%

@igo There is no universe where any corporate HR department said that to you.

Even if it were true (it’s not) they would never say it you. You’re just pi$$ing in the wind.

@OP The source you linked to is trash.

Credible online sources have this as another in a long list of BS “reverse discrimination” claims that are DOA in any court - mostly because it didn’t happen and rarely does.

Absolutely happens. Ever heard of a double pointer? It isn't a programming term it is someone who ticks two diversity boxes.

I have personally seen rank results changed after the closure of the rank meeting to boost the rank of diversity employees to keep them on the hipo track.

Recruiting teams definitely prefer diversity targets. In fact some universities have been dropped because their student body wasn't seen as diverse enough.

EM does this outright in staffing and ranking.

I had an id--t jump more than 20 points over his coworker that was 2 people above on the final rank list from ranking meeting. Seemed like biggest error I had ever seen in ranking so I went to HR. They told me it was because HR “had to make adjustments for minorities “ after the ranking meeting to meet target distributions. He got 20+ points for skin color placing him far above many that everyone agreed outperformed him. Built in racism at EM.

XOM absolutely does this.

We just obfuscate it with opaque corporate processes and have lawyers who make sure nobody spells it out so clearly.

Stop caring so much, just get as much as you can then get out.

Absolutely does. Start leaking out similar videos and expose out bad Xomers! Time to release ranking session coverted videos.
