Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

D-mb answers

You want us to be gung ho about Crowm? Maybe Crown needs to start making sacrifices for us. We have been through the ringer…..show us you care! Do something out of the ordinary like telling us we can work from home because you know the entire company, including the EMT, agree us together means absolutely nothing!!!! Recognition of the fact that managers and directors shut their doors in on us daily and literally never use the one conference room allotted to us on the floor! Give us our freedom again!! We deserve it and swiping badges is the most kindgarden thought process that ever existed!! If we don’t get our jobs done please let us go…treating us like children will never get us to appreciate the EMT or encourage any employee to do their work effectively. If you want us to ever trust you, please start trusting us.

Because everybody’s situation is different. Some of us are close to retirement and we’ve put many years into Crown. The chances of finding comparable employment at the same level as what you exited with is slim to none…Collecting social security with reporting $00’s just before retiring drops your monthly check

@bfz+1q3MPH9d I disagree completely. The steps taken so far are an acknowledgement that the attention needs to returned back to the things that provide ROI. Our tower sites are one of the key elements. We need a sufficient field presence to protect those assets. As we become further disconnected from the contractors who provide services at the sites and as outsiders realize that very little is being done to protect them (like to strategic error of failing to maintain them) the risk increases.

Why would anyone want to return that was laid off? On top of that why pay back the severance? Just to be laid of again and have less of a severance? That's not smart thinking. That's desperation. And Crown wins.

Allow the field personnel who were laid off in August to choose to return to work if they agree to pay back the prorated severance

@OP+1q3MPH9d Don't expect any better from this crew. They've displayed what they're like over the nearly six months of this never-ending saga of failed leadership. Please, do yourself a favor and get off the sinking ship. Stop letting these people put you, as you say, through "the ringer" again and again. They don't deserve good employees.
