Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Non employees who harass badged employees all day everyday?

Is it only USA call centers that are harassed by "area managers"&"director" non employees with made up job titles who send countless emails for updates ? I can't stop thinking they measure their productivity on how many useless emails they can spam badged workers. I can't stop thinking how much more we could be paid or have better benifits without them. Leaders are told about them and commit to investigate but it feels there are more every week destroying real workers productivity.

I got really tired of giving my work results to a contractor to steal my work. They would escalate to my manager if I didn't give them the info in their requested time frame. So glad I am gone.

A bit confusing here. If your leaders are not telling you "yes you have to report to these "contractor" supervisors", just create a rule in Outlook to move their emails straight to Trash, and forget about it.

This reminds me of the tech support centers in India. They would also spend several minutes reconfirming information that they already had, wasting a lot of time. Some of them just knew how to work and update tickets. If they were getting paid by the time they spent on my ticket then they were really "milking" it for all that they could.

It’s more cost effective to hire execs & BOD overseas, when will they start replacing them? Where is the cheapest? India, Viet Nam, Africa. Globalization for all or is there elite class exceptions.

According to the CEO, employees are human capital so, that means from the top down at public traded companies like AT&T. Can’t have hypocrisy, wouldn’t be fair for the stockholders and Wall Street since they run the show, it’s only about dividends and the stock price. Get to work widget!

Vendor is the most cost-efficient model for all US based companies. Once they are able to grow AI knowledge via CHAT GPT or CHAT BOT, no need for call centers of large scale. Just a few in home agents to handle fall out chats.
