I truly hope we can hear something official about what's going to happen soon. Going back and forth with all these rumors and wild guessing is driving me crazy and making my already shaky nerves even worse. Why is this entire debacle being dragged out for so long?

Get off this website. It’s not helping anything. Read a book, call a friend, do yoga.
You’ll know more at some point but there is no use refreshing this website day in and day out.
seeing as this is the toughest job market in recent history, with even top talent who have never had a problem now not getting responses, people I know who are stellar are looking for work for over a year, etc... I would say hold on as long as you can and be thankful for that extra time.
Be careful of what you wish for. The grass is not greener on the unemployment side.
