Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Most didn’t want EVs last week, even fewer want one today…

“Chicago-area Tesla charging stations lined with dead cars in freezing cold: 'A bunch of dead robots out here'
Chicago and much of the Midwest were plunged into a deep freeze

Desperate Tesla owners in and around Chicago were seen trying to charge their vehicles with no luck amid frigid temperatures that have gripped the Midwest.

Charging stations have essentially turned into car graveyards in recent days as temperatures have dropped to the negative double digits, Fox Chicago reported.

"Nothing. No juice. Still on zero percent," Tyler Beard, who had been trying to recharge his Tesla at an Oak Brook, Illinois Tesla supercharging station since Sunday afternoon, told the news outlet. "And this is like three hours being out here after being out here three hours yesterday."

So much for all the subscriptions Ford thinks we are going to sell with EVs…

Is there a way to recycle the chem trails to Davos, so they can be re used in EV’s ? Just wondering.

I have my EV plugged in my garage while I have my work computer logged in and do my options trading on my phone. There are people who purchase cars that actually use them to get somewhere in this weather? We need to put a stop to such selfish behavior.

The problem is that people need to keep their cars plugged in when it gets very cold. Duh ! As long as you keep your car plugged in the battery will be just fine. Never mind that you can’t really use it. Maybe make it your summer toy car.

Technically, the limitations of battery operation temperature are well known, nothing hidden. If these limitations are not known to the many people on this forum, it is better to get yourself equipped with the right knowledge to make right purchase decisions. It is a similar discussion like the use of solar panel in Michigan for the winter.

It is correct to say that BEV is a partial solution to a greater issue, but PHEV may be a better one. For a company that must rely on vehicles sales to all potential customers, it always troubles me to hear that ICE is in the past. That is an awful business decision.

E.V.--Everlastingly Vulnerable. Pay to buy one and double pay in problems to keep one.

Good Luck with BEV sales over the next 6 Mos as people recall dead on the road vehicles that could not be charged due to arctic temps and power outages.

Why don’t they just jump start em, gas em up, and be on their merry way ? O that’s right…..EV’s are dependent on hand outs from the electric grid. Just the way the gov’t wants it to be.

Nothing but exaggerated falsehoods about BEV's. Of course a battery will need charge if you carelessly drive it until the battery is dead. Doesn't matter if its cold or warm outside.

Let it all crash and burn. Thank you, capitalism. The customers have spoken and this sh!t will be over soon.

I have an older vehicle. The battery is dead because of this cold. Of course, I can just go buy a new one and I'm all set. Wait until this cold starts ki-ling those battery packs. Try changing those.....

That is what happens when your politicians and corporate leaders are controlled by California Democrats. You get out of touch, highly politicized "science". Wake up, Michigan.

We said BEVs were not ready yet...
We said BEVs were not good for the planet...
We said BEVs were not good in hot/cold weathers...

Buyers didn't listen...
CEOs didn't listen...
Politicians didn't listen...

Now the only thing we can say is ... I TOLD YOU SO!!!
