Thread regarding Ford layoffs

What then vehicle to recommend

Had a family member ask me what veicle I would recommend under 30k for their adult child. Also asked if there was anything from Ford I would recommend. Told them I really had no idea and that due to all Ford's quality problems, I couldn't even recommend any of our products out of concern they get caught with a lemon. Jeeze what the heck do any of us recommend anymore.

Since this has turned into an advice column ... I need a reasonably priced vehicle that has enough room for my two large dogs.

Thoughts?

Maverick is ridiculously getting over MSRP and stealerships. Which shows that the systemic caustic issues at Ford are soup to nuts. And as another poster pointed out, Maverick has it's own share of recalls.

Hands down the most reliable car is Fred Flintstones' Footmobile Car.

@1trn+1qBxwmAm I also thought about the Maverick, but is not free of recalls.

Buying a car for the adult child.......

If I am that adult child, I would get a winter beater and a Miata NA/NB/NC or Fiat 1/9x for summer.

I guess I am, I have a Miata NB and a Packard for summer
