Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Section Meeting

So we just had a section meeting.

Underbody did not meet it's quality target for 2023.

Our entire FNA department is getting gigged for an issue caused by our excellent low cost engineering center in Mexico. One that we were not involved in, in any way.

PRs will be affected.

Bonuses will be affected.

Each and every one of us is going to have some sort of quality metric as an objective.

I expect more management scapegoat actions throughout the company as our low cost counterparts sc--w up more.

If I did not have pension handcuffs on, I'd be out. Not in 23 years have I seen this company in such a state.

I'd counter that with 2004 and on, but the last three years have been rather astonishingly bad.

What are you talking about- not in 23 years? The company has been a continuous mess since 2018. Consider yourself fortunate if you haven't noticed until more recently.

Shocking that UnSE would miss quality targets!
