It is very interesting and kind of sad to notice that all the comments got high remarks here have nothing to do with this event. This is a very low quality forum, waste of time.

I have a Mach-E and am very happy with the performance. Even in the cold.

This post and link is just more misdirection.

Ah and now as Paul Harvey would say We have the rest of the story.
Corruption in the government and corruption at Ford. Who would of thunk.

“For exaggerating electric car efficiency, the government rewards carmakers with compliance credits they can trade for cash.
Economists estimate these credits could be worth billions: a vast cross-subsidy invented by bureaucrats and paid for by every person who buys a new gasoline-powered car.
Until recently, this subsidy was a Washington secret. Carmakers and regulators liked it that way.”

“Carmakers have panicked and asked the Biden administration to delay any return to legal or engineering reality. “

Political solutions usually defy real world realities. Just another example of why people and govts should stay in their own lanes. The market will respond if fuel costs go up with an intelligent reaction - like smaller cars for example. Nitrogen as a hydrogen carrier in stead of carbon etc. as many are doing already. Making big loans to create an EV industry that ultimately can't deliver is a banker thing. Only this time the govt prodding has really sc--wed up the car business. Go ahead EV bots, I'm sure you have the answer.

Yep, lots of bs to around with EVs. The only problem is that the bs becomes painfully obvious when the rubber hits the road. Just ask Hertz.
