@3cku+1qEmj06g This is totally on point. technical knowledge, organizational ownership, both tending to zero now by design. No need to own anything when the #1 skill recognised is diversion of responsibility
The depletion of technical knowledge, organizational ownership, and facility maintenance will ultimately result in increased fires and explosions at refineries and chemical plants.
Right? The LinkedIn ads and job postings are bizarre. They should come with a warning/disclaimer.
Woods believes that the org should continue to be cut until some failure happens. He has an entire process safety team in place to avoid it but if it happens, his head should be first.
For that reason, he's going to dump as many downstream ops as he can. Canada and Europe should be worried.
@1nfr+1qEmj06g He can't stop it. The damage is so huge that everybody is leaving. The new hires find out very quickly that coming to XOM was a mistake and leave as soon as they can. Working for XOM is a mistake.
PiPing is at all time high
My department keeps losing people from them leaving themselves or PIP. Then we keep getting all these new people that have to learn everything from scratch. It’s so much extra work and stressful for the whole group. We also feel less community because the turnover is so high. Hard to build relationships when people drop like flies .

Are people still leaving in large quantities???????
What examples do,you have though? Is it uncomfortable or unsafe? Beatings will continue until morale improves
And seeing LinkdIn “ads” stating we are looking for experienced professionals to join us makes me very angry because we keep PiPing people for no reason other than DW and his Board says we have to in order to improve.
