Individual Development Plan

I was asked to fill out Individual Development Plan that is going to be submitted in HR system. Is this refined version of Performance Improvement Plan?

@ @4cma+1qFYUMBp I’ve worked with this guy a few times. Very good at politics, but so-so in his job ( I guess that’s why he’s lasted so long there).
Be interesting to see how he progresses - he thinks he’s dynamite and is quite good at selling himself, but when you boil it down he’s 6/10 and would struggle at other companies.
Probably be a Director in the next 12 months as that describes a large majority of the ones at Cisco.

Your manager is the one who needs to complete your development plan.

Farming the work out to you. Managers have had to fill out Talent Assessments every 6 months for all blue badges, for many years (5+). Used to be private, for your reporting chain, and follow you from your prior manager in TalentSpaced, now will be shared in WerkDaze.

Former UKI SE whose name rhymes with "fill ridges". Only seen the pictures on the screens in the office. Good on him, good people skills. Won't find me selling out my credibility for the global visibility.

Everyone needs to submit the talent assessment twice a year. That's the new thing starting Q2. Thus the Feb layoff, if any, is not based on that.

Though down the road, that assessment deems to trigger PIP to manage people out every year.

My manager didn’t say my performance is low. But I need to fill out the template every 6 months for career growth and get better in my role.. it seems my manager also had to do same thing for his role. That’s why I am confused and not sure if I am going to be let go or is it really for my career development.
