Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Any layoffs in P&M tech team happening?

I wish this whole toxic team get sacked this time. I used to work with this team of 12(5 overseas) before I moved to overseas recently. They have work literally for 2 days during monthend. Most of Those issues get resolved by rerunning job itself. Guess what they do for rest of the month.. yes, gossiping, politics, fighting for small documentation work. The show they put up during that two days always remind me of emergency ward room in an hospital.Like hungry wild dogs, everyone look at running jobs on 30th.. if any issue occurs .. that’s it ! Done!! Person A runs to person B desk and then both of them run to person C desk with loud talking like call that person immediately. Now all of them run to lead desk. There around 20 mins drama happens and all will go to a standup room , manager enters now. This is routine drama with same format every monthend. It was funny, cringe and irritating at the same time. Manager always tells in 1:1 that I’m not integrating into team even after working for 1.5 years. How could I if I get laugh during this drama which they think is serious. Lol

We don’t have any power to do anything other than what is told by lead. If he doesn’t like someone he keeps assigning repetitive manual numbers counting task that too on weekends. Trust me it’a an another level of toxic team.

Yes I agree that whole team including my role didn’t have enough/no work some sprints . That’s the reason I left. If an issue occurs on 30th, lead includes one FTE in that the email thread. That FTE involves one ETW in analysis meeting. That ETW take that piece of work to overseas team and distribute among 5. It’s a very stabilized product.. issues are due to source didn’t send data or technical glitches for that reach out to MAP or NGAP platform team. It’s just communication which lead does. My point is Nike should identify these kind of teams and use that budget on necessary and worth teams and employees.

Every team is going to experience layoffs. Some will be very minor and some very big. We will have to wait and see.
