Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Macy's is on the same course as Sears

The toxic environment of Macy's has allways protected the political associates who know how to play the Macy's game.
The favorites will remain no matter how little work they do.
Macy's management loves to have their bo--y's smooched.
The people who were laid off are the lucky ones to get out of this environment.
Macy's is on the same couse as Sears and will end up in the retail graveyard as well.
You will find a better career outside of Macy's. All the best to you.

I agree Macy's name alone is worth a lot more and the real estate of some iconic landmark stores..that will remain, even if the department stores disappear.

The buyout offers are for the real estate. The retail stores are secondary. Yes, it's Sears all over again.

If they take a low buyout and lease back the space from them then sure they’ll be sears but I doubt it. Macy’s will always remain in some capacity because of the parade and notoriety of Macys
