Is it true about tomorrow?

If it is, please share any info you have. How many people will be affected? Which locations?

Yes. We’re going to have another 1% layoff in February, likely Feb 5th to 9th.

HR is still out of the groove. Charlie sized displacements could never be managed now.

@9jth, let me guess, you were outside protesting gender bias when your teacher was covering hyperbole.

Why not just ask a boomer…?

You’ll get a whole new perspective on how mild these minute layoffs are.

@7nzu, if we cut 10% each year from 2000 to 2008 we'd have two dozen employees left.

Stop it with the constant layoffs already. We’re at a historic low for BNYM layoffs.

Buy a boomer a cup of coffee and ask what it was like from 2000 to 2008, the era of 10% layoffs per year, every year, no exceptions. Ask them how they coped.

There are a lot of REAL things to worry about, such as the attack on any and all benefits.

@7ldo, they said tomorrow. And since it's always today we don't have to ever worry about it.

Well it’s been 7 days and nothing happened. Just another one of those “chicken little sky is falling” warnings that rarely are true. Particularly in this extremely low layoff environment. Best job security in over 40 years.

Relax and enjoy.

Exactly, they are chasing people out by poor treatment, no raise and bonus cuts to make people leave on their own. Not respectable

These constant layoffs are cruel and unusual punishment. The only thing I can think is they are doing it like this to cause people to quit. Helps their numbers that they didn’t layoff anyone and don’t pay SUB but make people hate it here and quit. Same as what they’re doing to benefits, etc. They want us to quit and also torture us with rolling layoffs. Sick Hunger Games scenario we have going on here.
