Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Bare Minimum

Nike is getting bare minimum from most of us since the announcement. The reality is that most won’t get laid off but the lingering wait makes everyone burn out, drive in, swipe badge and leave.
Once layoffs are done, there will be no motivation and tech won’t work until Black Friday except for some PowerPoints for new leaders.
SEC in July is hilarious. This layoff won’t be in time to get folks motivated again to pull that off.
Don’t quit, wait for severance and f anyone who says to go find a new job if you aren’t happy.

Full parking garages indicate a lot more people showing up for roll call/badge in. Seems starkly different and empty after lunch though.

No way layoffs be over for NXT, they tell you that to get people to focus, just like they told the people laid off they were “definitely safe”.

There needs to be some massive changes over there to make a difference and what they have done so far just sent them backwards

We had a meeting today. Leaders told jokes, said we will be stronger. It was said layoffs are over for NXT, but there may be a few more, and it would be going on for the next few months(may-june). I think Nike's numbers are way worst then they are saying. The timing and the way it was done doesn't seem to be as professional or well thought, like in the past. I think the king has no cloths, JD is going to get canned. By the way the desk are still 1/2 empty.

Truly id--tic to announce layoffs before the holidays and big deliverables. Everyone is worried about this round and any inevitable next rounds that might get them, all updating resumes, linked in, cutting spending and preparing for the worst. They are not putting in.a full day mentally. Great motivation by management.
