Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Optional survey if you missed CEO earnings call

It said your name would be recorded when answering the survey. I picked "don't have the time" since I average 12 -14 hours a day with not a chance of catching up with all the broken applications and problems our employer has. Anyone thinking we'll hire any relief or maybe I offended someone ego and I'm toast?
Ok the other truth.... our leadership don't care and the prior giddiness on them is sickening to watch!

Just turn it on, mute it and minimize the window. It’s really not difficult.

I was sick and I coded a sick day and I got the email complaining that I didn’t attend. I’m not taking their survey, I deleted the email.

The minimum to be 37 pieces of flare, then why don't you just make the minimum 37 pieces of flair...

Depends on their methodology. If you didn't badge in for the day and didn't click the meeting link, I can see a valid reason for them to hound you.

However, this is AT&T we are talking about. Not only are they not tracking who is clicking the link, but they are likely basing their data on who accepted the meeting invite.

That means if you set the meeting as tentative or attended a watch party in person, you're getting one or both surveys as well.

The survey about why you missed the meeting, I think, went out to everyone, because I attended, and 10 minutes later got an email survey saying "Thanks for attending, please fill out this survey." So once again, they sc--wed up. SOP

It definitely says something about your CEO when they won't make a replay available because he might say something stupid and/or illegal.

I joined a small watch party, that wasn’t an option from all of the reasons why. I am in an office, instead of us each joining individually, in the spirit of furthering the culture of collaboration and convergence, we came together as a team…only to receive that message this morning.

There’s some hyperbole here.

I just deleted it and moved on.

Ain’t nobody got time for that…

“we’re watching you & you weren’t there…”

That's exactly what it is. A passive aggressive threat muddled in some USPS humor, designed entirely to strike fear and ruin someone's day. As if Legg hadn't already made things depressing enough as it is.

This is the first time they've made such a big deal about missing the earnings call. If it's mandatory, then say it's mandatory. Otherwise, don't complain when someone doesn't show up to an optional meeting. It's not like this is a two-way conversation where our opinions matter. We will find out about these "important strategic topics" sooner or later, as they will inevitably fall onto the grunts who keep this company afloat.

You know why I think they care so much this time around? I think someone got upset over how poorly Legg's townhall was received and decided the record needs to be set straight through corporate hogwash.

It's a shame they have decided to cover their ears and issue a thinly veiled threat against an already-stressed out workforce. It just goes to show the sheer level of incompetence among leadership.

"Sorry we missed you." My response: RETURN TO SENDER

Wow… where is employee relations, corp comm, or a solid HR leader to write that survey with a more positive meaning.
Receiving it felt like “we’re watching you & you weren’t there…”

No room for real life info (bc they’re so far away from running the work)
Some reasons people missed are:
Employee called with real issue that was best attended to immediately
Legal called with time sensitive issue for information
Customer/partner/network supplier called key meeting same time.

The message should have said, “sorry you missed it, it will be available to you for x amount of time if you fill out this survey—not just a “we know you missed it - report why you were absent

I share this type of stuff with colleagues who have some high level jobs at other companies and they really don’t believe that this is the culture …

Hoping someone starts treating hard working good employees with respect. I know our VP does not. He is rude and intimidating but we’re told “deal with it - an Officer likes him”

Power bi is broken too so the feedback will be like almost everything we see. C R A P and still won't be paid correctly.

Your answers will be converted in to a powerbi report for some assistant to justify their time on. Then it'll be disseminated amongst leadership which will quickly dismiss it like enps.
