Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Never thought I'd say this, but I miss Charlie

Don't get me wrong, the anti-remote work fiasco and the high layoffs during his time here made things stressful, BUT, he played the villain pretty well. Everything bad could be traced back to him and it was something to bring us all together. He himself knew he was bad with his smug look.

RV is a pretty bad guy, too, but he is so forgettable of a character that he's just one small cog of a corrupt machine that is making lives miserable for anyone.

So, uh, in closing: CS = horrible despot but probably the single source of most problems

vs today's oligarchy - several villainous fiends as opposed to simply the CEO.

Robin is as smug as he unremarkable. Has the charisma of a pair of pleated khakis. Can that man laugh?? The values he set for the company were inspired by Melania’s “be best” campaign. ‘Do more” Seriously? Is that supposed to inspire? lol
Yes a villain who brought all his old white cronies from Goldman to oversee his cut-throat policies, just like Goldman, but without the rewards.
Making everyone expendable and pinching pennies to buy-back $4 billion dollars in stock last year and give dividend to shareholders while squeezing the livelihood of the very people who are responsible for the 19B in profits. No one working at Bank of New York can afford to live in New York!
these bottom feeders are scouring the planet for cheap labor and then forcing people to come back to office to call India on the phone for face2face Teams meeting. The bank of India would be a more appropriate name. Disgusting!

I was no fan of Charlie but I gotta admit that he mastered the eat sh1t smirk while delivered job cuts. He was born with one helluva lucky silver spoon I’ll tell ya…
