Inconsistent Meet Bonus/Raise

So I got an inconsistent meet for mid year and year end based on a lighter workload then my other team members and received a 10% bonus with no raise this year. Can anyone speak to if I can apply for other roles with this rating? It's documented that I am accountable for my lack of work as if it's my responsibility on the work I have or don't have...

I hired a Inconsistently Meets a couple years ago. When I reached out the manager seemed odd and deceptive so I hired the person since she had a very good history, well spoken, seemed like a good fit so I went with this person. Total and complete home run hire. One of the best people I have hired or worked with. It may be a bit more difficult but be honest and if the hiring manager listens and open minded you will have an equal chance. Lets also be honest, most people here are lazy and do not perform much due diligence so they may not ask.

Ratings are not available to the recruiter or the hiring manager for internal hires. They cut that off a couple of years ago for the reason that we don’t have perf ratings on externals therefore we are not treating all candidates equally in the process, which is required.

Look as much as you like. They’ll never know unless you tell them

Just apply and get a new manager and a 20% hike and last year is history—-don’t think too much if you don’t get at least you tried…if an offer is coming through just tell your mgr you wanted a change and hope he can work out your transition. Very likely your mgr would support you as it might work better for both of you.

You can apply for jobs. I received that rating as well and am actively looking elsewhere.

Let's be real OP doesn't get work assigned because they don't do a good job on it.

Your manager assigns your work (or it depends on vagaries of work volume coming in). You should not receive Inconsistently Meets for something out of your control.

Fight it. A dangerous gamble, but if the lack of merit increase or the bonus size bothers you a lot, you could go 2 up (mgr's mgr). Could backfire, but only option since HR/ER is definitely not.
