I miss being in the office. I always enjoyed hanging out and chatting with my colleagues. We used to know all about each other's lives and families. Now we hardly ever have time to chit chat. I also miss long lunches around Dearborn.

Totally ridiculous if they are monitoring to that level. Don’t they have anything better to do? We better have actual desks to sit at and not this stupid open floor plan with desks that I can’t concentrate or get work done. Was there a couple weeks ago and there were NO desks anywhere!

All Ford employees should have to leave their homes and go to work. Every. Single. Day.

Yup, the leak post is true. Had all hands today. Way to go farley, what happens when the bottom line of quality and cost continues its downward slope?

I heard the same thing as @sct+1qKiwJZa

If not next week, then very soon.

Leadership is tired of paying many people to lounge around their homes in between meetings.

And the UAW was not too happy about the overpaid office workers getting paid more than them from home while they have to be in the plants busting their butts and wearing down their bodies for a paycheck. It was part of the negotiations - that office workers would return to office at least part time.

Commercial real estate (CRE) is having a rough time. The banks and big investors (like Blackrock, Vanguard) are having a cow. Ford has to show it’s on the “team”. They have to do everything in their power to counter the drift away from renting office space for information workers who do nothing but work on their computers all day.

Just leaked today. Mandatory RTO for everybody starting next tuesday for most employees, others to follow. 3 days per week. Tuesday, wednesday, and thursday. No exceptions. Badge swipes will be monitored. IT has been directed to record all company laptop wifi log-in locations and uptime. Personal usage on company devices is to be scrutinized and reviewed closer than ever before. Corporate phone GPS is activated and tracked. Manager and Chief levels plus HR will have access to weekly compliance reports with this data.

Directive comes from the top.
