Business Fiber Commision Fraud

In the year 2024, it is disheartening to observe the absence of robust processes and inspections to curb malpractices among business fiber sellers. At least 75% of Dedicated orders involve Platinum or Global Customers who Fiber sellers exploit by finding a stray SVID like everyone’s d-mb but then.

Fiber sellers that do this are so egregious they and their SSE proceed to port the phone numbers on the POTS bills from Platinum/Global (they don’t know about) accounts to new ADIVBs. This transition, conveniently executed with virtually identical names and addresses under the Small Business segment. A 30 second check from DI pipe over to SART could swiftly reveal the truth.

It's past time to address the management's complicity in this "convenient" negligence. The Sales Managers merely look the other way and play d-mb. Accountability is paramount, and the need to rectify these practices is evident to anyone paying attention. In stark contrast, our mobility sellers face termination for issues they have zero control over, such as 5 zero-use lines.

The parts of T that I have seen are all centered around a scorecard or power ranking of some sort. Unfortunately the things they measure don't necessarily reflect a growing business or revenue retention.

It's always a bunch of measurable that while they are important, get way too much focus for their actual impact. Add in their flavor of the week item and you end up with things like this and others often discussed here.

At least it produces a healthy layoff page I guess.

“Be “that whistleblower “

Stand up and enforce your moral standards with your employer.”

One would spend months on the phone reporting it to ethics. Rather leadership do their job and put the fear of god in these folks. That maybe too much to ask. Instead they simply look the other way allow it happen and when the man comes knocking play naive and let the CSE get fired. Self preservation at its finest.

Company has always cheated. Look at activity in retail to add on services customers didn’t order
Look at 90 year deals with tower companies with former AT&at execs in CSuite

No integrity - just slippery ways and creative accounting to get by ear quarter. Unfortunately the only real impact is the reduction in staff that has little impacts level 3s, less on 4s, almost none on 5s and of course after that is all golden parachute officer level

Clearly you are the problem. Your expectations of your employer is way above what can be achieved. Your best option is to resign and find an employer with a moral compass.

If you cheat, you will be caught. That being said, it would be nice and knock out a lot of this BS if fiber count would be recognized when a contract was renewed. Yes, TBR credit is retained, but the SM just locked in the fiber circuits for the length of the term. Huge benefit to ATT bottom line. No fiber recognition for accounts where fiber was retained with no truck roll. Peculiar compensation policies lead to peculiar sales.

Just saw the company email/video.
Titled Kudos on ‘23

JS advised in ‘23 we had a fiber completion ratio of 102% and JS mentioned we completed more orders than we received.

How do we complete more orders than we receive?

Exactly and we wonder why our Wireline revenues are in the red. Perhaps stop paying people 100k to convert an existing customers $900 bill to $500 and awarding them with commission and praise for doing so. HQ has built a commission plan not around going out and capturing new subscribers but instead around running reports and rerating existing ones.

This is blatant in those segments. Management is certainly complicit and fear no repercussions. Interestingly you’ll not find email trail in the activity for obvious reasons. Many look at new adds on existing data devices with sim swap to new numbers and shrug shoulders, but this is as easy to see with minor skills of inspection. Everyone wonders why the business is in a shambles, this is the acceptable culture in business sales.
