HR at XOM is a pet to the CEO and executive. Truly spinless org. full of spinless people, and whatever was left was destroyed by TG before she left.
Recently they have been tracking completion at a supervisor level and beating up supervisors if their team doesn’t respond. Watch out for any supervisor that is encouraging you to participate in the survey. They just want their numbers to look good.
Same reason they don’t do exit interviews. If they do an exit interview or is only to confirm you aren’t going to try sue the company. The executives are convinced there is no room to improve. I suppose if you have been treated as a HiPo your entire career then you would think that way. It must be nice to be a HiPo.
To XOM management, any answer that can't be trended or bar graphed is not a real answer.
Otherwise, there will be no way to have non-experts questioning experts.

They are just going through the motions. They already kno the answers they want and are looking for ways to justify that answer.
They don't even try to hide the total lack of respect for the rank and file. Do as your told. Nil inclusivity.
