Did anyone else get an 18% raise?

Charlie has also decided that people who make a certain amount of base pay—and believe me it is not even as high as 1/100th of what Charlie made—get no raises. Socialism with Charlie.

Good points. The asset cap and consent decrees remain. Worse, there is now union activity because employees don't trust management. There is also a cult of personality around Barry Sommers who says like, stuff...etc. just embarrassing to hear. The firm is a joke. I encourage regulators to split the bank and brokerage and then dissolve Wells Fargo. Charlie needs to be fired.

Most promotions here don’t even come with a raise as high as 18%.

Well, his merit didn't go up 18%. But it's still bullsh*t that he got an 18% raise.
Still have asset cap. Cloud migration is a joke. How many fines did we get last year?

We need to ask him during next Town Hall (anonymously, unless brave enough to provide names):

  • Charlie, what did you do in 2023 to deserve such a massive bonus? Asset cap still in place, employee morale at all-time low, etc. What rating on 5-scale would you give yourself?
  • Charlie, why are employees losing their jobs and careers, yet you don't even take a pay cut? Aren't CEOs supposed to tighten their belts when they ask employees to do the same?
  • Charlie, why did you say you weren't familiar with "hub strategy", when that very strategy is being rolled out for weeks by your direct reports, negatively affecting employees' lives? How could someone worthy of such high compensation not be aware of what's going on in his company and among his leadership? Or were you actually aware and purposely misleading your employees?
