@3mdh - Also bonus is for last year's work. Even if you get layed-off you will still get it.

@ 3mdh - you still get the bonus even if you are laid off.

If something is planned, I suspect any action would be taken before the bonus (assuming there still is one) is due to be paid on March 15th to avoid paying folks anything.

PRs this week, Earnings Feb 6 and GTH pushed to Feb 7. I don't see any calendar evidence yet pointing to cuts this week, but it wouldn't surprise me if something happened. My money is still on a mid to late March culling.

@yum+1qLLw3yy Sounds like the south end of Dearborn Heights. Rental properties destroy communities.

Seriously. What are you going to do about it if it does? Ok..now that you've thought about it make a plan. Feel better. It is just that simple. Anxiety will eat you alive, so if you'd like to hang on to that, go ahead. Otherwise calm down.

  • inflation
  • competition
  • recall
  • churn and constraint flip flopping

I live in a neighborhood of single family rental houses. Most of the neighbors are on section 8 and don’t work. They have nicer cars in their driveway than me, and seem to eat out often. I bust my a-s for the same quality of life of the unemployed. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad to get laid off…

@OP. Simple! We grow numb to the ever presence of layoffs. Every now and then I hear about people leaving or being laid off, but it is hard to keep count. Sometimes I realize it when the CDSID is no longer there.

When I talk to other teams, everyone is looking for jobs outside the company. Why haven't they left already? Because the job market is really bad, A.K.A, it is hard for them to get the same perks and salaries they currently enjoy at Ford. However, every time someone gets a better offer... they leave. Every time managers push to hard... employees are quitting. No loyalty to the company, which shows the change of attitude in the employees, molded after the changes at Ford.

No one cares anymore. Ford is no longer a career, not even a job, but a lousy job.
