Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

T's leadership...what leadership?

T's leadership has spent many years wrecking a good company. Many years ago 1200 customer-facing reps were layed off. Then that leader left for a better job at American Express. But T realized it was the wrong decision and hired them back. This, the T-Moble disaster and others are more examples of what they did wrong. The only solution they think helps mitigate these poor decisions is to reduce expenses by doing layoffs. Yet, for all the years they've done this, they have yet to increase the price of the stock. In fact, over the last ten years, it's down over 31%. T is an example of what not to do and whould be taught in every MBA course.

Funny you say that. Everything I learned in my MBA program would be done the opposite way at work, lol. Our leadership is too far gone to right the ship. Their egos won't let them see it as we do. Sad state of affairs.

“ Many years ago 1200 customer-facing reps were layed off.”
No idea what reps you are talking about but go into almost any store location and see how many customers there are to face. Went into a AT&T store a few months ago and got great service. Probably because there were 6 employees there and I was the only customer. And not just AT&T. The world is changing. My kids hate to have to go into almost any store unless it’s by their choice.

Everything they have done for the last decade has been inconsistent with successful business practices. Proof is in the pudding.

And now the people in positions of authority want to waste millions on leadership training for people that have zero desire to be leaders.

I had At&t pay for my MBA. I can verify that your statements are correct.
