I just finished watching the 24 hours of Daytona. With all of the bad news coming out of Ford with layoffs, huge warranty costs, EVs that no one wants to buy and a failing ADAS unit, why on Earth are they spending money on sports car racing?! Seems like leadership has it’s priorities sc--wed up.

Theres more dei fan-boi's here on this board than I thought.
anything learned to improve durability y the racing teams would be cost-cut by the penny pinchers in the glass house anyway. they don't even use the real vehicles, it's just a shell in the shape of a production car. just another way to spend advert money.
Can a bankrupt company still qualify to race?
Racing is important, what you do is not.
If your role was essential, you wouldn't be targeted in layoffs.
More like win on Sunday, recall on Monday.
The old saying, win on Sunday sell on Monday.
Racing is where the company proves the skill of their engineering teams. Don't believe me? Look at how Toyota Tundra sales took add after Camry started winning in NASCAR.
There should be a minimum IQ for people allowed to post on here.
It’s all about Jimmy
Ford Racing? We are a truck and SUV company. Nothing more stupid unless you want to add EV’s to the list.
Ford has lost their way and is grasping at straws for a strategy.
Racing is central to Ford's identity
It's mostly because of Farley. The GTD, pulling a marketing stunt on going back to F-1, etc.
Racing is important. If you're so worried about cuts, maybe you should look for a role in motorsports.
Yeah, you're right. Farley should spend much more on dei initiatives instead.
Sheesh, ever hear of automotive marketing to non-woke customers?
