Let’s pretend to be an executive and put a positive spin on this:Potential customers will now get to experience the greatness that is the MachE, our sales will ramp up with annual production of all-electric vehicles to 600k units by 2024, and two million across the globe each year by 2026…

Yes. Rental fleet sales will give a nice polish on the mach e pony badge. This will absorb the excess volume of the mach e and bolster the nameplate like it did for our last great fleet brand taurus. Nice hail Mary pass model e.

This is a tremendous idea to get the exceptional EV experience to customers who normally would not feel comfortable with outright purchasing without experience, this new state of the art in consumer mobility.

This was a Model e idea and a very good one at that. The total Ford team (not just Model e) needs to think of solutions outside of the box like this one.

There are still 17,000 unsold 2023 Mustang Mach-E on dealer lots? What is Ford waiting for in order to slash the prices on these cars? They have to cut at least $10,000 off the price ($7,500 for the expired tax credit plus another $2,500 for it being last year’s model).

It's strange that Ford can't sell their EVs and Tesla can't make enough.

I would buy one if it's 75% off.

“In the face of wavering demand, so (Ford’s) electric business needs all the momentum it can get.”

He’s talking to YOU, Model e. You better get busy selling 17,000 unwanted EVs so you can sell some data and subscriptions. Stop dragging Ford Blue down.

Ah, I see, they can’t sell them so they rent them out. Once they experience an issue with the software, I am sure they will never want to buy one.

Ford should just buy them back and scrap them.

Interesting as Hertz announced they are reducing their electric vehicle rental fleet.

Are the customers supposed to bring back the vehicles fully charged? If not, a great way to drive without have a cost besides the actual rental, for the consumer anyway.
