Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Bonus

Had my check in conversation with my LL today. They informed me that my rating was on target. It was then shared that being on target only translates to 90% of bonus target (assuming we get one and it’s 100%). Is this still true? Seems wild that we would do everything asked and even more only to be rewarded with 90% of whatever peanuts they toss at us.

Welcome to the club! 90% is the new 100%. (not so new, we've had it in IT for 2 years now)

Amen Buddy !
This is just how to handle it, the way I do it myself.

And best of all, getting the family into another nameboard is that one hears no complaints about the cr-ppy quality and outdated features three years behind the competition has been giving them problems during every single conversation.

Worst has been the holidays where the entire conversation is about all the issues

At least you didnt get below target!
There doing something like 50% of salary employees below target whether they actually are or not doesnt matter. The number must be met.
I bet bonuses are not going to be 100 percent anyway. Lots of recalls, to many evs sitting not sold, uaw strikes etc.

That 10% loss in bonus (amongst other things) cost the company any future vehicle purchases I would have made. It is what it is - I can speak with my wallet as much as management can.

It doesn’t make sense to me why they wouldn’t rescale the bonus targets so 100% = 100%. Great way to reduce employee morale for no benefit.

Sorry but Yes, started in 2022. That's how they fund the employees who get over 100%.

Just as predicted, follows their pattern. Take away from employees that had to contend and fix bad decisions made by the top executives and give to them selfs, executives that make the bad decisions. But what do you expect from the friends and family club. Look at their record and performance, but they will give them self a cushy bonus. Maybe they will give them selves a %123 bound again!!

@kon there is a chart of the bonus targets for each SG posted on L@F. It’s like 5-7% of your salary depending on where you are in the band. $10k for SG8

Yep, they had to figure out a way to pay for the UAW worker's pay increase. Rob from the poor to pay the poor.

Sounds great for employee morale (sarcasm here) and something short sighted bean counters would do. Wonder how much Ford is losing in employee turnover or loss of productivity from doing d-mb stuff like that?

Yep, that is the Ford way. Find a way to squeeze a few measly dollars back out of every employee and pi-s them all off in the process
