Let's see if some VPs get walked out at 4:30, after the summit, like last time.

I think it's been said elsewhere on here but it is worth noting that regardless of title, an area this layoff will target is the management structures that have "managers managing managers who manage managers." This is evident in several departments / pillars of the business.

If this is you, I hope you can make it through to the other side of this awful time. But don't be surprised if your role is targeted / cut.

The bulk of the layoffs are occurring tomorrow. They don't want to be anywhere near campus.

Why have an offsite if they haven't even started layoffs yet??

The reason layoffs don’t work is because they lay off the working level and keep the execs. Then they have to rehire all the same roles as nothing gets done. Then you have twice as many working level as nobody knows how to do anything. Layoffs need to be at higher levels because that’s where the money is and work is not getting done.

Not happy w layoffs EVER, but at least they're focused on the upper echelon, where primary cost savings are vs. misguidedly eliminating Sr Mgr and below; ETWs and remote workers doing all the actual hands-on and having systems knowledge are easy pickings/ sacrificial lambs but are highly critical for biz continuity. Just my .02

This is where HON, JD, CW, and their main bootlickers are delivering the hard news half the VPs will be gone or demoted. They'll need to make some drastic decisions up top to make it more digestible once it reaches the bottom management tiers. In other news from the secret summit: it's all starting in 3 weeks. Buckle up, everyone.

Hopefully EC and AC from TechOps will be just the start. Too many incompetent people below in management positions.

VP offsite agenda leaked:

Opening: JD the antihero Phil Jackson leadership rhetoric mumbo jumbo

New IMN Strategy: Innovation means nothing, let’s rehash our footwear franchises, further eliminate sports, go gender neutral and increase sizing

DEI: we have benchmarks to hit and 11 months to hit them.

RTO: see you 5 days a week beginning June ‘24, while we wipe the spiderwebs from our brows, caving to Washington County tax pressure because our campus land was free with strings attached.

M&A: Bane Capital now operating out of SW building in exciting merger

Inspiration: Welcome LeBron James for the 1000th time

Closing: Goodbye to 1/5 of you all, don’t fall too hard on your golden parachutes

Peace!
