Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Hub cities

Not long ago 7 cities were shared as hubs in addition to Dallas & Atlanta making up the 9 they first decided on.

Does anyone know which ones may be first to close / longest to remain?

Bueller, Bueller, Anyone, Anyone?

1-Los Angeles
2-San Ramon
3-Middletown
4-Bedminster
5-Seattle
6-Washington, D.C.
7-St. Louis

The fact that Legg doesn't consider all the AT&T hubs places where "his" people can be, that says many of those hubs are going away.

Meanwhile, he's hiring at record pace in India.

I heard they are going to keep closing locations until there are none left. Anyone still employed will be virtual WFH. Wait, what?

Yeh. Dallas only. The remainder of deskbound management and staff is is WFH. This could save $T some serious coin to pay out to shareholders

No. No one knows. And you know that.

You act as if there is a coherent plan.

There isn't one. Nor has there been one.

T Mobile wants as few locations as possible before they will sign on to the bailout/buyout. Lots of business units to divest before that happens.

He was very clear that he expects to add headcount the the SR hub.

You believe this guy? Remember President of AT&T Entertainment telling us how he was gonna whip HBO into shape, and six months later "nevermind, now we're a telecomm again."

How he continues as CEO mystifies me. I think Elliot Management had the same question, bought a seat on the Board, then realized their investment stank, and got out fast.

They will close the Slum locations first:
1,5,6,7
Then they will close High Tax locations:
2,3,4
Then they will close remaining locations:
Dallas & Atlanta
And look for other ways to reduce levels below District.

Enjoy the ride.

MT has been scaled down to 1 building & eventually it will be closed & everyone either laid off or moved to another state. Bedminster is very small & that will close before MT, rumor is end of this year.

All those locations will be gone, just a matter of time. Each have a different timeline for getting shut down known only by the folks at the top. I predict in less than 2 years for most, Atlanta will be last to go, probably in 3-4 years. They aren’t hiring in Atlanta now and the jobs are going to Dallas, so I don’t see how they keep the other places.

In the end, there will be only Dallas.

By EOY 2025, there will only be 2 locations (Dallas/Atlanta) left for those in HQ jobs.

Bangalore will remain as the only hub for T. Dallas will be where Stanley and his minions will reside and rule.
