Massachusetts unemployment

Filed for Mass unemployment on Jan 22. Did everything I was asked to do. How long before you receive the first unemployment check?

First filed with Massachusetts on 22 Jan. According to the progress calendar, they are still considering my claim. I completed the forms very carefully AND supplemented the initial filing package with the explanatory TMS form.

I have been denied for two weeks (of two) beyond the waiting week due to "pending remuneration from BNY Mellon". And there is an opaque suggestion on the "Monetary and Issue Summary" page that I will be ineligible for MA benefits due to BNY sub pay. I will need to contact them.

@OP

Are you sure that you’ve done the entire needful?

I applied for my Pa benefits on the last day of my official employment. There was a one week waiting period for eligibility. I received my payment a week following my first week of eligibility- after I completed my online info.

Also in MA, took me about two months, I had to reach out to my state representative to make any progress, hopefully you don’t have the same experience

Check? Who's running that, BNYM?

It took them more than a month in PA to process the application but when they approved it the benefits are back dated. It is OK to call them after the 'minimum' processing time is done.
