Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Since management has failed

Does that mean Farley and Field will get a BELOW TARGET rating, no bonus and no stock options? Will this be a topic at the TH?

If 50 percent of employees non uaw are below target what does that say about those at upper management.

Normally this would mean the CEO and a few others are dismissed.

Don’t count on it. BF and JF have told us that we have the best and strongest management team in the history of the company. That’s why the company is doing so well.(failing at every single thing) But they deserve the big bonus. it’s us that have failed exacting their plans and making the company fail that need to get dinged on the bonus. It’s not they’re horrible deductions that are failing. You can’t make millions of Dolores and be accountable it’s got to be somebody else’s fault.

If we don't have any form of accountability at the very top, from BF still being the Chairman of the Board, to having family members (and extended) working at the company, to JF pushing the throttle on EVs, why should we expect anything different at the middle management, factories, etc? Lack of accountability breeds mediocrity, and that's what Ford is right now. If it were a serious company we wouldn't move at a glaciar pace, we wouldn't be so prone to accepting BS from leaders... It is hilarious to me that the same leaders that complain about quality issues with our launches in the last 3-4 years have been there all along. C'mon, man.

What objectives? We haven't had solid objectives for nearly 5 years. The dysfunction starts at the top with no cascade.
All of a sudden we are below target whatever that means. The un-cascaded "objectives" were changed midway thru the year, and communicated Conway style (Crickets). No wonder we are failing. Management has failed.

The greedy pigs at the top wont take responsibility for their decisions so they will not take cuts.
They will pass the blame and just fill their pockets.

Objectives are cascaded from the top down. A failure at the bottom starts with a failure at the top. Perhaps objective setting should go both ways, meaning management will not only establish corporate goals, but they will also be required to support those that produce, For example, do what matters should mean that, not wasting countless hours on projects intended to keep purchased service employees busy or investments in competitor products for the sole purpose of entertaining management's curiosity, or wasting money on redundant software systems and tools that don't work. Another great example of management's failure is proper staffing. I can't focus on my core objectives if I'm constantly being asked to do the work that employees that left the company used to do. Again, my failure in many ways, if not nearly every way, is a direct result of mismanagement.

Tell me why RTO is now mandatory? I’d really love to hear the truth. What about all those remote positions? Is Ford making people move to MI? If not, why should I go into the office? Try to spin it so I’m buying what you are selling. I bet you can’t.

Indeed, OP+1q you have a keen sense of critical thinking. If the worker bees are held to some rubric, why isn't the c-suite? Don't hols yer breath, but you are spot on. If the big money "because they make big decisions" people f it up, in a normal world they would get the just reward. No bonus, maybe no job. Let's see what happens. Let this be instructive as to how to proceed!
