Tucson is rumored to be going, once HON cancels the contract with Celestica, or 2027 when the contract expires.
Bintan and Singapore (other than admin) was already largely closed. Maybe all the tax schemes in Malaysia dried up, too? Maybe re-consolidating the parts into Olathe makes selling the whole thing to a contract manufacturer easier?
More like 20 years, the outsourcing started around 2005. I bet they're bring back all the products sent to Bintan, Penang and Singapore. They (ALT) need the money from the state because the building is so rundown from lack of maintenance and investment. Well, China got what they wanted; decades of experience building avionics, and all of the product knowledge that Honeywell could give them. Have fun worker bees, A-lot of OT coming your way.

" OLATHE, Kan. - Honeywell announced its Olathe plant is getting an expansion costing $84 million.
The project is expected to create 150 new jobs and bring $18.3 million to state and local taxes in the first six years. There will be new equipment installed in the facility to help Honeywell continue advancing in aerospace manufacturing.
At Friday’s announcement, U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-KS), U.S. Representative Sharice Davids (D-KS), and Kansas Lieutenant Governor David Toland all came to Honeywell’s Olathe plant to celebrate the news. This discussion all started at the Paris Air Show many Kansas officials attended last year. “The idea that Honeywell is bringing jobs from Asia back to the United States back to Olathe and our supply chain from a national economy point of view and especially from a national security point of view we need those jobs here so that we don’t have to worry at a time when our adversaries are out to get us,” said U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-KS). Honeywell manufactures different components for aerospace including safety and flight control systems, radio frequency systems for traffic collision avoidance, radar altimeters, and weather radar. Honeywell plans to start hiring for the new jobs in the next few months. They hope this will continue to keep Kansans working in Kansas after graduation or when job searching.
